arrange a fitting subsistence allowance for the debtor with the concurrence of the Official Receiver, and if the full amount of the pension is not paid to the debtor by way of such allowance to hold the unpaid balance to await the issue of the bankruptcy proceed-
ings.
The first question therefore to be decided is the amount of the subsistence allowance which we should suggest to the Official Receiver de fitting in this case. Having regard to Sir F.Piggott's social position etc. and the present cost of living and also to the fact that he has probably long since run through any private means over which he may ever have had power of disposition, I think the allowance should be
a liberal one.
We might of course avoid any conflict with Sir F.Piggott by suggesting to the Official Receiver and getting him to agree that in all the circumstances the full amount of the pensions should be paid to
Sir F.Piggott by way of subsistence allowance.
We should write to the Official Receiver
stating the provisions of the Hong Kong and Mauritius
laws which will apply to Sir F.Piggott's pensions if

that subject to any information the Official Receiver
may have as to Sir F.Piggott's means apart from his

the full amount of the pensions is not paid, the
balance to be retained until the issue of the
bankruptcy proceedings is ascertained.
We should ask for a prompt reply so that
we may be able to give the Crown Agents instructions
before the end of this month as to payment of the
March pensions.
